One of the most important aspects of my heritage is African art and culture. Art plays a powerful and significant role in the lives of the African people because art became a part of their identity where people started making money out of their artworks and was able to do something out of their confinement under slavery system. Therefore, African art is the research topic of my paper. Thesis statement: Despite every oppression and enforcement, my heritage from the African community has made its position and managed its identity through the means of cultural expression that has influenced the American community as well, remains unacknowledged.
